‘You’re my lobster’

Jenny Jackson X Duck & Duffel has landed…

I’ve a very exciting collaboration with illustrator Jenny Jackson this Spring/ Summer!

Meet Jenny…

I am an Illustrator and Designer based in London.
I believe putting pen (or pencil) to paper and making your mark is one of the most important, unique and personal things you can do. For this reason, texture plays an important part in my work. The chosen medium is always apparent in my growing collection of illustrated landscapes, taken from my immediate surroundings and further afield.

I graduated from Kingston University in 2012 with a BA(Hons) in Illustration. Since then my ethos has led me to the production of greetings cards and stationery. My designs contain a balance of humour and beautiful artwork, making them simultaneously classic and contemporary. I really believe in the humble greetings card, and it’s amazing, but not surprising, that this method of communication has survived in our increasingly digital world. Nothing says it better than a handwritten note with a beautiful, personal design printed on quality paper stock.

As soon as I saw Jenny’s work I knew her quirky illustrations would be a perfect pairing with my vintage style dresses! I’m so excited to be working with Jenny and the fabric looks and feels amazing.

There are three different size lobsters available; 15cm lobsters/ 9cm and 4.5cm, so something for every type of sewing project large or small. I’m going to be using the 15cm/9cm lobsters for my dresses and the 4.5cm for some smaller projects like the Minx bag and scarves.

I cannot wait to get cutting!

I’m also going to be launching some menswear projects this spring/summer at Crafty Fox on the 26th April at the Dogstar Brixton, so keep your eyes peeled!
