Thrifty finds

I’ve got a couple of great Charity shops just a few minutes walk from my house (as well as a craft shop and fabric store – dangerous!!) and I’ve been lucky enough to pick up lots of lovely bits and pieces recently…

Clockwise from top right:

  • Fabulous vintage style mock croc bag (Sailor Boy £6)
  • Cute tapestry teddy rucksack (Parity £4)
  • Men’s floral shirt customised to fit (RSPCA £4)
  • Beige high heeled brogues (Sailor Boy £6.50)

I’ve also been going a bit mad on eBay (selling as well as buying though thankfully) and found these great pieces, some of which are now gracing my ever expanding wardrobe and the rest are being customised to sell in my temporary shop, check it out!

Again from top right clockwise:

  • Tulip skirt with braces, heart buttons and exposed zip (£6 eBay) goes very well with my charity shop customised shirt and vintage bag that belonged to my mum
  • Cream lace and chiffon shirt dress (£4 eBay)
  • Laura Lees for TopShop dress (£9 eBay)
  • White t-shirt customised with studs
  • Denim shirt dress customised with studs (£4 eBay)

I’m a bit addicted to studs at the moment, it’s such an inexpensive way to bring any plain old shirt up to date. I’m thinking of trying them out on some ballerina shoes too so watch this space. Need to make sure I don’t go too mad though as my whole wardrobe could end up studded…probably not such a good look!

Would love to see what other people are customising at the moment, let me know!
