Pick of the sales…

There used to be nothing my sister and I would enjoy more than counting up our Christmas money and heading off to the sales on Boxing day… the thrill of the wait (we got to Kingston nearly 2 hours too early one year I seem to remember, doh!) and the anticipation of what we might find.

These days I cant think of anything worse than battling the crowds for knock down stock from last season and even the season before in some cases…where do they get some of this stuff from?! But the joy of internet browsing has made it a far more leisurely and enjoyable activity, plus you can fill your basket and then have a good think about your potential purchases without committing and then being trapped in a 7 day return scenario!

There were just a couple of things I was after with my Christmas money this year (thanks lovely family!) and I thought I’d share with you what I bought and a few things I’m still pondering ( I have gift vouchers too) and hoping the price will drop even further!

1. River Island Caged shoe boots – currently £15 (Was £65) am still unsure just how much wear I will get from these though so they are still sat in the online shopping cart just in-case they drop to £10!

2. Topshop A-line 60s swing coat £40 (Was £89) Not going to purchase this as it would clash horribly with my hair but it is very pretty and if I was a brunette I would snap it up!

3. Zara Mini shopper £19.99 (Was £39.99) I purchased this after seeing Olivia from www.whatoliviadid.com sporting it in a few blog posts and its gorgeous, really chic and simple and big enough to fit a pair of flats in (v. important bag criteria to me!)

4. Cheap Frills cat ring £2 (my current fave jewellery designer… you may have noticed!) on my wish list (hopefully valentines… lovely husband?!)

5. Topshop Floral and lace mix dress £20 (was £60) I’ve been looking at this dress for ages but alas its only available in a 10 now.

6. This was a very large and very necessary purchase but still a bargain as far as Digital SLRs go! This will be used for taking fab pics for my blog and also good photos of my products for my impending Etsy shop, so i’m expecting big return on investment from this chap!

Canon EOS 1100D, Amazon £293.92 down from £459…ouch.

What have you found in the sales this year? Do tell!
