Craft a week 15 – Home-made fluffy garlands…

I decided to make some crepe paper garlands to use at my photoshoot at the weekend. They are super easy and really effective…

So you need, crepe paper (the rolls are easier, less cutting!)scissors, sewing machine.

Firstly decide how long you want your garlands and cut 4 lengths of crepe paper

Stack them together and sew down the centre of all 4

Fold in half and make cuts all the way along, you can also use pinking shears and pink the edges before you cut for extra ‘fluffyness’

You then need to separate all the bits of paper to make them look ‘fluffy’ and voila!

I will be able to show you the final result when I get my pics back from the photoshoot, but suffice to say they are THE BOMB! They look great hung up on a wall or attached to helium balloons.

I was going to make paper pom poms but luckily I had a stall near PaperPoms at Crafty Fox last month so the lovely Juliet did all the hard work for me!
