Craft a week – week 21

This week I’ve been sewing up a couple of little girl dresses from a pattern I designed. It’s a mini version of my Betty Dress! One is for Auds and one for my best friend’s daughter for her 2nd birthday (spoiler alert Lindsay).

I finally got to use some beautiful wooden buttons that I bought at Unravel festival (Farnham) last year. I knew they would be awesome for something!

I also made a little teddy cat for Audrey with my left over fabric scraps and she loves it. There seems to be something about having a cat with a matching outfit that pleases my child (and me I have to say!).

The fabric is from Fabric Land in Baskingstoke and is a nice lightweight cotton poplin.  The top of the dress is fully lined and has a concealed zipper and the skirt is made from the full width of the fabric gathered which gives a perfect full skirt for a little one.
