Craft a week challenge- Week 7

What a week! I just found out I’ve been accepted for a stall at Crafty Fox Market… 26th April at the Dogstar Brixton, details on the flier below. Luckily I have also just placed a Spoonflower order for some new fabric in collaboration with an illustrator who I’m very excited to tell you about…all will be revealed soon!

Crafty Fox Spring Markets - eflyer

So on to this week’s craft. A baguette clutch using the u-handbag kit and my ‘Moose print’ fabric! I actually found this trickier than the Queen Bee bag would you believe…not sure why, and I might use a heavier weight fabric if I attempt this one again as the hardware is heavy, lovely but heavy! I would definitely recommend these kits if you are competent at sewing as they are a very satisfying make!

Here are my results…

As always, please share your current craft projects with me, I love to see what people are working on and what floats your boat…craftwise!

She has been wearing her Rapunzel dress (“Miz’punzel”) for about 3 weeks non-stop now and it’s one of those that can’t go in the wash because of it’s glittery front, so I thought it was about time I […]

Craft a Week Challenge – Week 4

This week’s craft is from my Pinterest board. It’s a super duper chunky bracelet made of twine and nuts…hex nuts to be specific! Below is the Pinterest pin and then my attempt below that!   I couldn’t find brass hex nuts at B&Q ¬†which was disappointing but these zinc ones worked just as well (though […]

Christine Haynes – Emery Dress pattern review

Being an avid sewer I like to try out patterns from all different decades and designers. I find it really interesting how patterns vary in fit and how they are assembled. There are a raft of new designer led patterns on the market now; Colette, Sew over it and Christine Haynes are just a few […]
